Companies that value corporate and social responsibility are choosing effective bird control methods that don’t harm the surrounding of wildlife. Nuisance bird infestations have been creating problems for many businesses and homes throughout the company and many people are not aware of the rules for dealing with wildlife pests.

A professional bird control service will be able to identify the best method in dealing with each particular nuisance bird problem and quickly eradicate the problem without endangering the wildlife. The majority of bird control services are supporters of the Think Wildlife campaign (CRRU) and are experienced enough to know how to deal with each bird problem that they come across. A local company is always recommended as they will be able to assess the situation based on the areas wildlife, ensuring that no problems are caused by bird control.

Pest birds include pigeons and seagulls and can create a nuisance for both homes and business. Many birds can also be a danger to staff and the public, particularly if they have nested and are protecting their young. Nuisance birds can cause problems by delaying the construction and development of buildings and fouling over public areas which can cause respiratory illness.

There are a number of ways to deter nuisance birds and one of the most popular is the use of falconry to scare birds away from the area. Falconry response programmes can be used prior to the start of the nesting season to prevent birds from building nests in the area so that they will not stay.

Falconry isn’t always effective and it is unwise to use such as method in built up areas. For these places there a number of other methods that can be used such as bird netting, bird spikes and bird wires that will prevent nuisance birds from landing in certain areas, forcing them to move onto to another area. Preventing birds from nesting is much more cost effective and will prevent large scale fouling that can quickly become a danger to staff and the public.
